A new test was introduced
in 2002, in addition to the Theory test. This new test of "Hazard Perception"
tests the driver's ability to identify potential hazards while driving, and
prepare for any action that may be required to prevent accidents or
collisions.
The test includes areas such as scanning, judging speed, planning ahead,
and also considerations to safe distances. Research has shown that new drivers
can take seconds longer than experienced drivers to recognise hazards.
This new course aims to provide new drivers with more knowledge of identifying
the danger signs, allowing you vital extra seconds to take
action. |
